On 14th November, 1914, the 2nd Royal West Surrey (Queens) battalion of 22 Brigade, 7th Division, marched to trenches at La Bouteillerie, near Fleurbaix, where they stayed for the rest of the month or in billets in Rue de Bataille or Rue de Biache. During the evening of 29th November they were relieved. Charles Bone died from wounds on 2nd December, 1914, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast and iy is likely that he was wounded during this period in the line. |
